In October 2023, the Dutch government confirmed €60 million to support an ecosystem around cellular agriculture, the technology to produce animal products such as meat and milk proteins directly from animal and microbial cells. It is the world’s largest ever financial support by a national government for cellular agriculture.

Starting in February, we are seeking a dedicated student with a background in business, communication or Food & Business to contribute significantly to our mission to elevate Dutch agrifood innovations globally.

Earlier this week we welcomed a delegation of the Fribourg State Council in Foodvalley as innovation heart of the agrifood sector in the Netherlands. As different as the Netherlands and Switzerland might look on first sight, the similarities when it comes to agro food and related challenges was striking. It was a great pleasure to welcome this delegation at FoodX and we are looking forward to future collaborations!
